Betty ROBERTS Obituary

On October 3, 2023, peacefully at Windsorcare, Christchurch, aged 100 years. Dearly loved wife of the late John. A wonderful and much loved mother of Judith, Jennifer, Alistair and the late Bruce, and mother-in-law of Charles Knibb and Colleen. Loved and proud Grannie of Isabella and Charlotte Roberts. A special sister of Shirley Fisher, and the late Nancy and Ian. Messages to the Roberts family, PO Box 472, Ashburton 7740. A celebration of Betty's life will be held at St Stephen's Anglican Church, 60 Park Street, Ashburton, on Monday, October 9, commencing at 2.00pm. Private cremation thereafter.

Not sure why.. but the name Betty Roberts.. wife of John Roberts popped into my head a few days ago.. like a waking dream.. very strange.. I knew they were New Zealanders and I live in Williamsburg , Massachusetts / USA. When I did a search I found this. May God´s peace be with you and condolences for your family. My name is Annie Burke.. and for some reason your loved one came to my mind as a thought.. much love..

Dearest Betty, RIP, a wonderful person to so many and lovely to have known her with our family, our kind sympathy to you all. Shirley, Judith, and Jenny you have BEEN amazing with WONDERFUL care of her. Alistair too. We all have busy lives, Betty was always interested in what one was doing...will miss her dearly. AT 100 she deserves her peace and to be reunited with John and Bruce...Love and special memories.
