Betty CREAN Obituary

Passed peacefully, on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Christchurch Hospital: aged 95 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Francis WJ Crean, much loved and treasured mother and mother-in-law of Sharyn and Bob, Paula and Colin, Delwyn and Ziv, Joanne, and Michelle, dearly loved Nana of Christopher, Rebecca and Ronan; Eugene; Yotam and Sarah, Tal and Ran; Benjamin and Katie, Daniel and Noemie, Shannon, and great-grandmother of Maia; and Cooper. Betty will be sadly missed by her extended family and friends. A special thank you to all the staff of Albarosa Resthome for all their wonderful care of Betty. A Celebration of Betty's life will be held in Academy Funeral Services Chapel, 65 Main South Road, Upper Riccarton, on Wednesday, February 25, at 11.00am.

Betty was a wonderful neighbour to us all in Iona Place - she always enjoyed our wee Street gatherings and loved pottering in her garden. She was much missed by us all when she went into the home & our wee "inheritance" of her lovely cat Gypsy - is loving life at #3 and has the luxury of coming and going back to her old home, she's our much loved Street Cat, Betty would be so pleased to know she is well loved.
Our Thoughts are with all the family at this sad time, thinking of you all.
