Passed away peacefully at Golden Pond, Whakatane, on October 28, 2016, at the grand age of 101. Much loved wife of John V T Baker (deceased). Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Les and Beryl, Edric (deceased), Hilda and Alton England, Bruce and Lynne, Hilary and Nelson Lynch, and John and Linz. Much loved Grandma to Peter and Kim, Michelle and Carswell, Ross and Birte, Ian and Bridget, Christopher and Michelle, Heather and Brett, Bryce and Donna, Sheryl and Stephen, Edwin, Tony, Richard and Caz, Massey and Jayne, Rebecca and John, Stuart and Fiona, Daniel and Becs, Matthew and Kim, and Tim and Tash. Loved Great-Grandma to Bethany, Jordon, Levi, Calder, Lorelei, Maxine, Harrison, Jack, Eleanor, Dominic, Sophie, Claire, Jonah, Andrew, Pierce, Finn, Cole, Daniel and Shannon, Keiran, Nicola, Cameron, Callum, Evan and James; and Great-Great-Grandma to Mia and Eva. Betty's funeral and service to celebrate her life will be held at St George and St John's Church, 30 Domain Road, Whakatane, on Friday, November 4, 2016, at 2.00pm, followed by interment at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family would like to extend their special thanks to the staff at Golden Pond for their love and care of Betty these last 4 years.
