Bernard Joseph (Bernie):
Passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, July 30, 2021. Loved husband and best friend of the late Jan, cherished Dad and father-in- law of Craig and Tracey Morris (New Plymouth), and Jane and Mike Garvey (Waikuku Beach), hugely respected loving grandad of Hannah, Jack, Aimee and Tom, treasured great-grandad of Archer, loved son of the late Agnes and Jack Morris, loved brother and brother-in-law of Anne and Ron Palmada, Rae Weir and Patrick Walker, Les and Sadie, and the late Pat and Graham Finlay, and John and Pat Morris, a much loved brother-in-law and uncle, special friend to Gaye and to so many dear friends.
Rest In Peace.
Messages to 77 Shakespeare St, Greymouth. Rosary will be held in the Church, Tomorrow (Tuesday) at 7.00pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Bernie at the Sacred Heart Church, 3 Church St, Reefton, on Wednesday at 12.30pm, followed by cremation.

I recall happy holidays with cousin Bernie and all the Morris family when we were both little boys together. Fishing off the wharf, playing rugby, they were happy days.

Sincere condolences to Craig, Jane and your families at this very sad time.
I too was lucky to have the opportunity work for Bernie at Westown Dairy. Bernie was an awesome boss and true role model for the many of us who had a job with him. I even continued working on Saturday afternoons after I started my first full time job.
It was always great to see him and Jan each week.
RIP Bernie a truly kind and genuine man.
