On April 21, 2026, peacefully at Bishop Selwyn; aged 75 years. Loved husband of Phaik Lan and then Michele and their whānau. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Juanita and Andrew, Michael and Amara, Jeff and Natalie, and Bella and Bira. Much loved grandfather of his eight mokopuna, he will be forever missed by all his whānau. Messages to the Peters family may be sent c/- PO Box 111-01, Christchurch 8443. In lieu of flowers, donations to the RSA would be appreciated and may be made directly to 01-0797-0926045-000. Those wishing to pay their respects are welcome to visit the family home from 1030hrs today (Wednesday). A celebration of Ben's life will be held at the Hornby Club, 17 Carmen Road, Hornby, on Friday, April 24, at 1230hrs, followed by interment at Shands Road Cemetery at 1400hrs. Thereafter, all are invited to return to the Hornby Club for a hakari at 1530hrs.

Rest Easy our dear friend Ben We are so sorry to hear of your passing. The laughs we had at Ranui house will stay with us forever you were a lovely kind gentle man always laughing. Love and thoughts to your family Ben. No coffee mugs outside was your favourite saying always stirring the pot lol. Mum and I named you Benedict of Queenstown. R. I P.
