At Nelson Hospice, surrounded by his family, Basil quietly and peacefully slipped away on April 13, 2021 after a short courageous battle with cancer.
A kind and gentle soul
at peace.
Loved and treasured husband and best friend of Pauline for 34 years. Much loved Dad of Delene and Richard, and Charise and Lenny. Loved and respected step-dad of Robert and Lana, Andy and Maree. Loved Poppa of Ashleigh, Kaiden, Millan, Jordan, Helene and Mac. Loved eldest son of the late Burt and Betty Baigent of Wakefield. Loved and respected brother of Evelyn and George, Owen and Carol, Kelvin (deceased) and Sally, David and Chan. Loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews.
