Barry WATERS Obituary

WATERS, Barry Melvyn Thomas - On October 4, 2013 unexpectedly at his home, aged 77 years. Dearly loved husband of Jackie, much loved father and father-in-law of John and Emily (Singapore), and Howard and Amie (Hamilton), loved grandad of Annabelle, Benjamin, and Jasper. Loved son-in-law of the late John Forbes and Marion Love Henderson, and loved brother of Alison (deceased), Christine and Dene, and Diane. Messages to 81B Eastern Terrace, Christchurch 8023. A private Family cremation service has been held. Barry's friends are invited to join his family for a Memorial Service in the John Rhind Chapel, entry from Whitmore and London Streets, Richmond, Christchurch This Day (Wednesday), at 10.00 a.m.

Barry was a man of many talents, with great good humour and kindness. He was always willing to lend a skilled hand to anyone who needed it. Those of us who knew him in the Amateur Radio community regarded him with the greatest respect and he will be sadly missed by us all.
