Barry Harvey (Basil):
On October 3, 2017, at home surrounded by his family; aged 75 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Dawn. A dearly loved dad, grandad and great-grandad (Poppy). You were a great mate and mentor to us all.
"A golden heart stopped beating, working hands now at rest"
The family would like to thank friends and extended family, Nurse Maude, Damien (Chaplain), and Academy Funeral Services. Messages to the Smith family, C/- PO Box 111-01, Christchurch 8443. At Barrys request, a private cremation has been held.

We will always cherish and treasure our wonderful memories we have of our dear friend Barry. Our adventures off out into the countryside exploring and having lunch or coffee won't be the same without him. A very kind, caring, generous man who will be sadly missed by many. RIP dear friend, go fly with the angels.

Dear Grandad, I will miss coming around and talking your ear off, help you eat the chocolate biscuits and chat about whatever wee project you were working on , I know Lola will miss not greeting you at the door to help you take your boots off and keep you company talking about the flowers while having a smoke and learning to ride the bikes and walks to the letter box.
