Peacefully passed away on April 30, 2022. Loved son of the late George and Florence. Dearly loved, cherished companion and partner of Denise. A respected Matua of Stace and Maria. Loved Koro of Te Ao Mārama, and Tāwera. A special friend of many. Messages to the Holland Family, c/- PO Box 31300, Christchurch 8444. A Service to celebrate Barry's life will be held at the Palmer Chapel, 150 Harewood Road, Christchurch, on Thursday, May 5, at 11.00am.

I worked with Barry at The Press, too, in the 80s. Often his desk was side-on in front of mine. He had a subtle, puckish sense of humour. A good, decent bloke.

We send you condolences on the passing of Barry.
John remembers Barry from visiting with his parents to Barry´s parents in Beckenham, also they had fun times in Hanmer when Barry´s parents owned Hanmer House.
Barry was working at the Press at that time.
