Barry was a lovely man, on and off the green. He was welcoming when we joined BBC and it was such a pleasure working with him on the Board, for a number of years, improving the standing of the Club. An unassuming man of friendship and honesty, it was a honour to have known him. RIP mate.

Accept my deepest sympathy,in your loss of Barry.
He was a great bowler and his love of the Beckenham Club over the years will be remembered always.I had the pleasure of playing at the Beckenham Club in the late seventies and teamed up with Wally Wilkinson and Clarrie Bateman. We had some great games against Barry and he was always a great competitor and good sport.
The great work he carried out to organize the 100 Years Celebration at the club was appreciated by everyone who attended.
He was a true gentleman, and will be missed.

Carole, David and Family our sincere condolences. Barry was an outstanding administrator for the game of Bowls and a true competitor on the green whether playing with or against him in the game which he loved and had many successes at. The Chapman legacy will forever live on at the Beckenham Bowling Club. R.I.P
