Both Stuart & myself will remember Barrie with much respect as our family Dr for many years. He was a caring, professional Dr held in high regard by many people. I personally attribute good health I have, to care received from Barrie many years ago during a serious illness. His skill as a Dr was outstanding. Stuart remembers him for many conversations and discussions about their shared love of fly fishing. Our sincere best wishes and sympathy to his family for their loss

I remember calling on Barrie when I was a Medical rep He was a delight to call and if my memory serves me right he had a brother called Bill and they went to St, Andrews College like myself. Needless to say I didn't spend much time talking about Pharmaceutical products? A delightful gentleman

My parents Lynley and Morley Donaldson first met Barry when he had just qualified in obstetrics and his first patient was my brother who was seriously ill as a 6 week old baby . My parents who subsequently became great friends with both Barbara and Barry said he saved my brothers life . Barry was a highly professional and wonderful doctor. Rest in peace dear man and thankyou

Dr Bird was the doctor to the Jackson family of Rosewill for many years. He was particularly treasured by us when we were struck with acute illness and sorrow in the late 1950s and early 1960s. He diagnosed me with tonsillitis in 1960 and sent me off to The old Bidwell hospital for a scary operation at the age of three. My family and I have never forgotten Dr Bird for his professionalism and care during some difficult and sad times for us. Thankyou Dr Bird. May you rest easy.
