Barbara WILSON Obituary

On Monday July 8, 2024, at Edith Cavell Lifecare, aged 90 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Ross Alexander Wilson, much loved Mum and mother-in-law of Elizabeth and Anthony, Paula and Karl (Wellington), loved Grandma to Ellie, Thom, Luka, and Tomas, beloved eldest daughter of Fred and Muriel Burrow (Kingsteignton, Devon, UK), and sister of Frank, Jean, and Sheila. Loved aunt, great-aunt, cousin, and friend to many in New Zealand, the United States, and United Kingdom. A special thanks to the staff at Lakewood Rest Home for their care of Barbara over the past six years. The service to celebrate and remember Barbara will be held in St. Andrew's Anglican Church, 148 Main Road, Redcliffs, on Friday, July 12, at 10.30am.

Dear Elizabeth, Paula and your families, I would like to pass on to you all from my family our heartfelt condolences and sympathy at Barbaras passing. I know you have been on a sad journey these last 6 years of a 'long farewell' and it is of comfort to know that Barbara is now at rest and her spirit can join Ross's. A fond memory I have is the excitement and relief that rippled through the family, especially the aunties, when we first heard that Ross had 'finally' found the love of his life - Barbara.
