Barbara McBREARTY Obituary

On October 18, 2024, at Arvida Ilam, aged 88 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Terence, dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Jeanette and Eddie, Ursula and David, and Heather, treasured Gma of Toni and Steve, and Dave and Hayley; Sarah, and Lisa; Youssef, and Yasmine, adored great-grandmother of Jaxon, Rio, Cash, and Bodhi, loved aunty of Valerie, Clinton, Steven, Moya, and Tana. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Barbara McBrearty, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. Flowers respectfully declined. Barbara has donated her body to the Otago Medical School to further medical research. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in St Gregory's Catholic Church, 26 Cotswold Avenue, Bishopdale, on Thursday, October 24, at 2.00pm.

My sincere condolences to the McBrearty family at this sad time. I haven't met you all but Barbara was a wonderful friend to my mother Maureen who pass away over 8 years ago.

Barbara remained a very special friend to my brother Brian and myself over the years and I loved spending time with her when I visited NZ. We had so many laughs and fun times with her along with cream buns and donuts!!!
She was a truly special person and we will miss her greatly.
