Carter, David Anthony
COHOES - David A. Carter, 62, of Cohoes, N.Y., passed away peacefully, on Thursday, November 20, 2025. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Carter; his mother, Evelyn E. Henneberry; and stepfather, James Henneberry. Devoted brother to Deborah Lynn Conrardy (Richard), James Alan Henneberry (Ellen), Brian R. Carter (Lauren); loving uncle to Kerry, Clair, Christopher, Keith and Kelsey.
David was a lifelong lover of music and attended many concerts during his lifetime. In addition to his beloved family, he had an extraordinarily close-knit camaraderie of life-long friends. David was an avid cat lover and cared for many over the years.
Mr. Carter taught art at Post University, Cooper-Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, Dowling College, Nassau Community, was Spa Director for SPA TERRA La Playa, a licensed massage therapist, and Reiki master. He was also a lifelong master painter with multiple showings of his artwork.
There will be a Memorial honoring David at the RPI Chapel and Cultural Center, in Troy, N.Y., at 12 p.m., Sunday, December 7. All are welcome. His burial will alongside his parents, at a later date, at Saint Charles Catholic Church in Farmingdale, Long Island. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his honor to the St. Mary's Cancer Center in Troy, N.Y., or the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.

I only knew David through Vicki but he was a great friend and companion to her and for this I am eternally grateful! I know he will be watching over all his beloved friends and family, waiting to greet them!
