Baden you are an exceptional human being. Your knowledge and compassion touched the hearts and souls of so many. Forever grateful to have crossed your path, working alongside you at Canterbury Museum and living briefly in your Lyttelton Museum caretakers flat. I will always cherish the history of my first house. Lovely to know it was built by your uncle on your previous family land, right above the location of your birth house. When you said "he was a boat builder so it's got to be good", didn't expect two years of earthquakes to prove you right. My favorite memory - sitting on the deck with you and my parents hearing all about the Norrises up and down St Davids St just below. Go well Baden. Thinking of Kerry McCarthy, Roy Montgomery, Jack, Maeve, Otto and the rest of your family. xo
