Audrey READ Obituary

So sorry to learn of Audrey´s passing. She was a regular participant in my Aqua classes at Alpine View and an absolutely wonderful lady. I enjoyed her stories of her early days swimming, working at QEII, and of course the twinkle in her eyes. I´m sure she will be missed by all. Swim free Audrey

Vale Audrey. You will be sadly missed by many people. In 1960 the Kinder family from Oamaru moved to Christchurch and happened to move in across the road from the Laing family at Jervois St South Brighton. That was the start of a wonderful relationship that has lasted 6 decades. Audrey was wonderfully supportive towards our mum who was profoundly deaf and they kept in touch through all that time. My sister and I are very aware of the value our mum placed on that friendship and we will forever be happy that we too experienced it. We offer our sincere condolences to Audrey's family and close family friends. She is in a better place now.

Sending my love and God blesses to my cousins on the passing of Auntie Audrey. Your mum was such a key part in my life growing up and I remain ever thankful for her love and care over those years. She was truly such an inspiration to me and I treasure her in my heart and my memories of you her family and Uncle Jim. Diane and family.

Fond memories of the many great times we had with Audrey at Wainui. She loved the sun, the sea and fishing. A great person to be with who was the heart and soul of any gathering. The world needs more Audrey´s!
