On Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Diana Isaac Retirement Village, Audrey skated away to dance again with her beloved husband Rex. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Murray and Janet, Lynette and Tony, Michelle and Graeme, and Lucy. Adored nana of Wendy and Manu, Honor and Sam, Drew and Lettie, Ryan, Christine, Carley and Christian, Jade and Andrew. Cherished great-nana to Jesse, Fletcher, Max, Jack and Lucy. Special thanks to the staff at Lady Diana Isaac Resthome, hospital units, and the amazing Dr Lucy Henry for the outstanding care of mum. In lieu of flowers,donations to the Child Cancer Foundation would be appreciated. Messages may be addressed to 'The late Audrey Davies' family' c/- PO Box 26051, North Avon, Christchurch 8148. Livestream of the funeral is available via johnrhind.co.nz on Audrey's notice in "Upcoming Funerals". A celebration of Audrey's life will be held in the John Rhind Chapel, entrance from London or Whitmore Streets, Richmond, Christchurch, on Monday, January 26, at 1.00pm.

To the family of the late Audrey Davies. My name is Averill Curtis (nee Kruse) and I am a second cousin to Audrey as my father (Harry Kruse) and Auntie Maudie were 1st cousins.
I was unable to go to the funeral but very much appreciated the chance to livestream it later on. It was a lovely family service with everyone speaking so warmly and with much love for their mother and grandmother. Growing up I certainly remember following the skating success of Audrey and Rex. Another memory I have is Dad talking about being toastmaster at Audrey & Rex's wedding. My cousin (Wendy Tulett) and I did see Audrey at Lady Isaac when Shona was there too. Goodness, Audrey was so actively involved in village events while she was able. She has left a wonderful legacy for you and I wish you all strength and peace as you deal with this big loss in your lives.
