SMEITH, Ashley Wayne — It is with much sadness that we farewell a loyal caretaker, friend, and colleague from Ladbrooks School. Ashley was a much loved and respected man who always fulfilled the role of keeping our school clean, comfortable and safe. He was cheerful and no task was too difficult or too much to ask of him. He was a capable handyman and always engaged and laughed with children, staff and parents while going about his daily routine. His untimely departure from this life has devastated all of us and left a large hole in the heart of our school community. Our deepest sympathy is extended to Lesley, Melissa, Mike and other members of Ashley’s family, you are in our thoughts.
