Hey Archie, we met you at Starship through your beautiful, strong Mum and have thought of you often ever since.
We trust you are loving doing all the things that you wanted to do here, but were too differcult.

We are so blessed to have known you. What an incredible wee boy you are. You will always hold a special place in my heart and your cheeky smile will always be remembered. Rest In Peace Archie.

JORDAN, Archie:
To my Little Brother.
When I first met you, I should have been jealous. I was number 1 around here. But like everyone else, I immediately fell in love with you. From that moment my only purpose was to be the bestest big brother I could possibly be. I always wanted to be near you and in the early days you would actually roll yourself around to get closer to me. We had was so much fun. I have always tried to protect you. Didn’t matter who it was. Nurses, therapists, even friends and family. Everyone had to get past me first before touching my little bro. I would never let anyone hurt you, and had to be removed several times when they were changing your dressings. I missed you SO much when you were in Starship for 8 months. I loved sleeping at your feet and by your side, but this past 10 months with your epilepsy was hard on you. I would sleep by your head so you would know I was there but I had to have my back to you as your arm would thump and bump me for hours on end. Then when you went to sleep, or if you had a seizure, I would turn around and cuddle in to you or hold your hand to try and keep you calm and protect my gorgeous little brother from any harm as best I could. You and I were as thick as thieves my little buddy. I miss you and I am still sleeping on your bed and looking around for you and waking Mum & Dad at your regular medicine times. I love you and miss you. You were the greatest little brother a cat could have.

JORDAN, Archie:
Thank you to all of Archie’s friends and family that made our beautiful boy REAL and helped to make him feel loved and needed and have a proper childhood these past years. No tears of sadness please, only happiness. Archie endured more than anyone should ever have to bear, and he did it all with a smile, a cheeky grin and was happy to the end. This seemingly insurmountable grief we are feeling is only here because of the vast Love we had for Archie. It does not feel like it now but that grief will pass, and our love for Archie will remain forever. What mattered most was all of you being there for Archie during his life, and we cannot thank everyone enough for being a part of our son’s life. Stopping to say hello to Archie. Leaning right over his bed or wheelchair to give him a smile so he could see you. Giving him a high-5. Asking for a kiss (and being refused one if he was feeling cheeky). Supporting us while Mummy and Archie lived in Starship for 8 months. Choosing Up-Balloons for him and not Down-balloons. Not just saying “Hi”, but shouting out his name from 5 houses down the road. The heartfelt calls of support for us at any hour day or night when Archie was unwell. Travelling half the Country just to see him. Sending him a birthday card. Waving out from the windows as we walked around the block. Texting hello because you could not visit him as you had a cough. All of the amazing things you thought of and made especially for Archie because he was not your average little boy. And falling in love with his irresistible Monkey-Face pose. Archie’s handsome-itis was an extremely rare and incurable disease. He continued to grow more and more good looking every day. Archie passed away at peace, free from pain, and officially the handsome-est little boy in the Universe. Lying on his bed getting a super-snuggly-cuddle from Mummy and Daddy (and Moses) as he deserved. That was all he ever really wanted and we are privileged and grateful for all of his friends and family supporting us to do be able to be here for Archie all these years.
