Anton Georg (Rob):
Peacefully, with family, on Wednesday 2nd February 2022, at Radius Hawthorne, Christchurch, aged 92 years. Loved husband of the late Mia; loving father of Pat, Vivienne and the late Nick; father-in-law of Ocean, Brian and Kathy, and also Ruth; much-loved Opa of Julia, Laura and Sam; Amy, Joseph, and Nathan; and Joshua, Haley, and Jared; a fondly remembered Opa of his many great-grandchildren; and a very special companion to Ria. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Rob van Berkel, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. The Celebration of Rob's life will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Tuesday 8th February, at 2.00pm. Vaccination passes will be required. He will be farewelled, for private cremation thereafter. A forthright, warm man; known for his never-ending supply of ice cream, chocolate hagelslag and New Year's oliebollen.

We are sorry to hear about the passing of Roband wish to pass on our Sincere Condolences to the Van Berkel Family. I was lucky to have worked with Rob for many years, at Tip Top, and admired his zest and energy for the job as well as his knowledge of the ice cream industry. Rob put his heart and soul into General Foods/Tip Top. As a team of Sales Reps, (Rob, John Rowan and myself) were close and did many things together including selling ice cream at the A&P Shows. Rob was a straight shooter and told it like it was but was very respected within the industry. Rob will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace Rob
