Fr. Anton McLean married us at St. Roch´s Hanmer Springs. He made it a perfect day by his kindness, competence, humility, and understanding. He often filled in at Rangiora. We are so grateful for his life and vocation.

Thank you, Father Anton, for helping Father Frank Kelly when he was unwell and you helped him by saying many Masses for us. We the people of Lincoln and Leeston truly appreciate your service. Father Anto won our Christmas hamper and all he took out for himself was a box of chocolates.

During Anton´s time with the NZ Military in Singapore I was privileged to work alongside him as Chair of our Parish Council. He was a frequent and regular visitor whose company we greatly valued, appreciated and enjoyed.
Our shared experiences included a memorable trip we took together to Sarawak where we visited a mission our Parish supported. It´s a long story!
We have had intermittent but treasured contact over the years.
Farewell to a special man who had a unique and special ability to relate to people from all walks of life.
As a family we treasure the memory of our time with Anton and talk of him often.
