I am very sad to hear the news. Tony was a good man and a calm influence in the class room. My thoughts are with his friends and family through these tough times.

My sincere condolences to the Holland family on their loss of Tony. I knew im only briefly as I have only recently returned to teaching back in NZ. Tony was very welcoming when I attended Technology meetings at his school.

My thoughts go out to Tony's family. I was very sad to hear of Tony's death. Tony was a teacher and Housemaster of mine while at Christ's College. I remember him as a kind and thoughtful man. I was especially grateful to Tony for finishing the Rolleston House Old Boys tie project which he and I started in my final year of School. I remember fondly and proudly the day I returned to Rolleston House together with Graeme Worner to receive the first of the House ties from Tony.

I remember a real calming figure at college while I taught there. His quiet demeanor and little chats have been missed over successive years. A real loss.

So sorry to hear. Mr Holland was my teacher for workshop and technical drawing (and sailing at Lyttelton if I remember correctly?) circa early 2000s. I remember him being one of the most calmest and pragmatic teachers at College, and I think the students really respected him for that. My condolences to his family.

I was at Christ's College from 2005 to 2011 and was privileged to get to know Tony well. I am deeply shocked and saddened by his death and send condolences and thoughts to you all at this time. He was a true gentleman and lovely company as well as a respected teacher. I loved hearing about his sabbatical and building his own house- a wonderful achievement that he was so proud of. I am so very sorry for your loss.
