Anthony BLAIN Obituary

Passed away peacefully at Ashburton Hospital on Sunday, April 5, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, aged 85 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Annette, together for 63 years. Much loved father and father-in-law of Cheryll and Philip Kerrigan (Christchurch), Glenda and Kevin Donaldson, Leanne and Murray Holmes, Amanda and Chris Pannett, and Anthony and Joanne (USA). Adored grandfather of his 16 grandchildren and their partners, and great-grandfather to his 8 great-grandchildren. Messages to the Blain family, PO Box 472, Ashburton 7740. Sincere thanks to Dr Diane Young of Three Rivers and the caring and professional staff of Ward 1, Ashburton Hospital. Tony will be dearly missed and remembered by his family and friends. A service to celebrate Tony's life will be held at St David's Union Church, Allens Road, Ashburton on Friday, April 10, commencing at 1.00pm, followed by a private family interment.

To all of the Blain family, I have very fond memories of our my time staying at the farm, was lovely to catch up in recent years in Rolleston when mum was down visiting both myself and my late husband (Stuart). Such a lovely man, sending condolences to you all, Love Michelle Lyons (nee Dumper).
