Anthony BARRON Obituary

On Wednesday, May 8, 2024, peacefully at Alpine View Care Centre, in the arms of his family, aged 86 years. Loved husband of Eileen, loved Dad, and father-in-law of Tracey, and Susan and Nick, adored Grandad of Maisie, and Ella. A special thanks to Alpine View staff for their gentle care. The celebration of Tony's life will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on May 20, at 10.00am.

We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Tony. As our neighbour on Puriri Street, Tony's presence brought warmth and joy to our lives. We fondly remember our spirited rivalry between Christchurch rugby and Marist rugby, with Tony often hanging the winning team's jersey in the window as a playful reminder of our ongoing banter.

Tony was a work colleague at Medic Corp then Protec Solutions. He was always a reliable steady man loved by all. Grace and I attended functions with him and Eileen and enjoyed their company. It has been great to know both Tony & Eileen. Rest In Peace Tony. R
