We are so sorry to hear of the death of Anthea. Our family remembers Anthea from when she came to her family bach at Rangitata River Mouth in New Zealand. Their bach was beside ours (Wilkie's)and we have great memories of her singing and her great zest for life. At that stage Andrew was just a little boy. She always called a spade a spade and seemed larger than life to us younger ones. Please accept our sincere sypmpathy. The Wilkie family

I liked Anthea very much and always enjoyed her performances, particularly of religious works. I played in orchestra a couple of times accompanying her and we had some great chats. I have been away fro NZ many years so I do not know if she got to do it, but I know a role she really wanted to perform in NZ was Bartok's " Duke Bluebeard's Castle"
