I want to thank everyone for their kind words and support.
I am going to miss Mum who was a wonderful mother and friend.
She moved to Queensland at 80, living with me and my partner Dave and became involved in the lives of Dave´s son Mace, daughter Sally and our granddaughter Smith.
A strong independent woman who was great at storytelling especially her life on the lighthouses. At 90 she returned to New Zealand for rest home care and became busy connecting with friends and family as she wanted to say her goodbyes. A special thank you to Lesley and Chris for their continued care and support of Mum over the past year.
Mum didn't want a funeral she wanted her and Dads ashes to be spread together at the spot where they spent their honeymoon. I will complete her wishes later next year, first travelling around as many of her extended family as I can. Celebrating the wonderful people my Mum and Dad were.
Life will never be the same. But I was recently told when I am missing her, I should look in the mirror and I will see her there in me.

My condolences to David, Daniel, Marion, John, Bronwyn, and Lesley, spouses, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. I always enjoyed my stays at Waimangaroa where Anne and Les were always hospitable, I have good memories of them. As last of the Lighthouse Kids, Anne was full of family stories of lighthouse life and wider family life before that, she will be missed.

My deepest sympathy to the family
I had the priveledge of knowing Mrs Fazakerley as a youngster growing up in Waimangaroa. As a friend of Lesleys I was often at her home for a meal, and often staying over. She was always generous, kind and always keen to tell a story or two. In the later years and up until not long ago I appreciated her letters, emails and phone calls sharing with me what she had been up to, and her
interested in what I had been up to. She was a lovely lady with a great sense of humor, intelligent, thoughtful and will be surely missed by those closest to her.
May you rest in peace Mrs Fazakerley and enjoy catching up with Mr F. Say hi from me and big hugs to you both xx
you will missed

Was always fun when aunty Anne stayed with us in Auckland with David and Daniel, and
I have fond memories of staying with them in Waiuri as a youngster.
Many years later Annie and Lesley would stay with us in Nelson, a joy for Jenny to meet such an interesting open minded aunty.
Most recently, now that I'm mature, it has been a joy to visit and discuss the ways of the world, learn more about my Jamieson heritage , and understand what an advanced thinker aunty Anne was.
Special thanks and respect to Leslie for taking such fabulous care of Anne and coordinating with us all.
It was a special 90th birthday party, thanks Lesley.
Anne rests in well deserved peace.

Aunty Anne to my family. She loved a good debate and enjoyed the antics her nieces and nephews carried out. A favourite of us all and will be sorely missed. Goodbye now to the last of our older generation. Love and condolences to the family, Ron, Kay, Donald, and Alex.

My Mother was an amazing woman. It's been my privilege to share her journey during the last stage of her life.
She was gentle, generous and intelligent with a fierce wit and a passion for liberal politics. She was never afraid to be herself.
Watching her decline over the last few months has broken my heart. But I know once it mends it will be stronger than ever because of the profound experiences we shared in her last days.
I will miss her immensely.
