Anne CULPAN Obituary
Passed away at home on August 24, 2022, after a short illness, in the presence of family. Beloved wife and best friend of Ian, loved and loving mother and mother-in-law of David and Kim, Neill and Nikki, and Joanna and Paul. Treasured Granny of Molly, Isabelle, Fred, Freja, Harry, and Squiggley. Special thanks to the fantastic medical team and those who supported Anne. In lieu of flowers, donations to Nurse Maude or the Christchurch City Mission in memory of Anne would be appreciated and may be made online at www.nursemaude.org.nz, or www.citymission.org.nz. A Celebration of Anne's life will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Tuesday, August 30, at 2.00pm, private cremation thereafter.

Hi Ian and family. I knew Anne from teaching and feel really very blessed to have known her. She was such great fun! She taught me how to teach dance, gymnastics, and PE. She often relieved in my classrooms. It was a privilege for Anne and Ian to attend my wedding in 2014. After teaching, we continued to keep in touch and she even made my daughter some clothes. I will remember her strength of character, humour and generosity. Her passing will be a great loss to all who knew her. Thinking of you all.

Hi Ian. We have just heard that Anne has passed away and still in shock. Anne was such an amazing and inspirational friend and I know how much you must all be hurting. Our thoughts are with you and family. Grant and I are in outback Australia for a month and will be thinking of you as you farewell Anne. just got the news of Anne's passing i was shocked to say the least. Will always remember the times over the years catching up with the Culpan's at home for Anne's famous roast dinners and catch up's when in New Zealand. Thinking of you at this time. Love Pete and Sue Thompson ( Perth )

Ian, I was so sorry to hear of Anne´s passing. My thoughts are with you and your whanau as you go through this difficult time. I remember you talking about Anne and know that you had a very close and loving relationship, a relationship that I very much admired. As it says in her death notice, she was truly your best friend.
