My dearest Aunty Ann, Peter and John
I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Gus' passing. He was always so very dear to my heart and I loved him so very much. He always spoilt me rotten and loved me always. It became difficult for Dad and Uncle Gus to see each other once he moved to Dunedin, but they always kept in touch. I think the last time you saw Mum & Dad was about 1976 when you came to stay in Rotorua. Every time I try to solve a "Spot the Difference" puzzle I think of him. We were so excited when we saw his puzzles being published.
I send you all my sincerest condolences.
Love
Frankie, (Buck and Penny McArthurs daughter from Rotorua)

Sad news. Gus was at Hawera Branch in 1953 when I joined ANZ Bank and at the NZHQ "A Room" when I was transferred there in 1968. A great guy. Deepest sympathy to his wife and family.

Deepest sympathy to Ann and the family. Worked with Gus in Dunedin early 70's. A real gentleman with a great sense of humour. Always welcome in their Mornington home. Great memories of our times at the bank.
