Andrew George (Andy):
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 12, 2022; aged 65 years. Loved husband of Lyn. Loved dad and father-in-law of Nadine and Sam McFarlane, Chamelle and Hayden Newman, Taryn Wylie, Saffra Wylie, Branaye and Rhys Wade. Loved grandad of George, Blake, Harper, and Adalynn. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Glenda Douglas, Stephen and Sandra Wylie, and Sandra and Don Hartill; Chris and Robin Reay-Mackey, Wendy and David Palmer, Lyall and Bronnie Batchelor, and Noni. Loved by all his nieces and nephews.
He will be greatly missed.
A service to celebrate Andy's life will be held at Aoraki Funeral Services Chapel, 160 Mountain View Road , on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 1.00pm, followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice South Canterbury would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Vaccination passes will be required. We were deeply saddened to hear the passing of Andrew. I will always remember how he and Lyn would make the time to visit Kit when Kit was unwell. He was truly an empathetic and caring man. The world will not be the same without his kind heart and energy. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. May he rest in peace and no more pain from now on.
