Much sympathy and thoughts to Rosalyn and Stuart and families. Auntie Carolyn and Uncle Andy, the most kind, gentle and generous of people. I was very lucky to have them looking out for me when I was in Christchurch, whether it be weekend stints on the petrol station forecourt or great hospitality. Memories as a small boy watching a wizard in overalls underneath the bonnet of a Morris 1800 rally car in Wellington town hall parc ferme during the heatway rally. Then when older, generous welcomes and relaxed bbq hosting. Other memories surface - the way Andy stubbornly held himself if his back was hurting at the end of a hard day´s work, or the tilt up of the chin and the bristling of that moustache on the oh so ever rare occasion he was riled by someone. But the overriding and fondest memory is the eye twinkle and supressed grin (hidden behind that moustache again) as he conveyed a story or wry comment on the world.
