Andrew SYKES Obituary

On August 8, 2023, in his 80th year, peacefully at home, with family at his side. Dearly loved husband of the late Margaret, much loved dad of Jane, and the late Edwin, treasured Grandpa of Andie; Harry, and James. Sincere thanks to the amazing staff of Access Community Health, and Nurse Maude Association for their exceptional care of Andrew which enabled him to remain at home with his family. In lieu of flowers, donations to St John in memory of Andrew would be appreciated, and may be made directly online at: stjohn.org.nz. The Funeral Service for Andrew will be held in Trinity Church, 25 Hororata Dunsandel Road, Dunsandel, on Saturday, August 19, at 10.00am, interment at St Lukes Churchyard to follow.

Deepest Sympathy to Andrew's Family, just a short word recognising his successful efforts in encouraging the use of Computed Tomography in sheep and deer for various measurements including genetic improvement. NZ now has 3 facilities with continuous use of the technology for over 30 years. This has resulted in a marked improvement in the NZ sheep population.
