Andrew NEWMAN Obituary

Passed away peacefully at Essie Summers Retirement Village, Christchurch, on August 27, 2025, aged 88 years. A beloved father to 5, father-in-law to 2, grandfather to 11 and brother to 4. Dad had a way of brightening a room with his quiet humour and endless kindness. He will be remembered for his warmth, his stories, and the gentle way he cared for those around him. A private family cremation has been held in Christchurch, and Dad will be laid to rest next to his dear old Pop in Timaru.

Together again in peace.

Yesterday

I´m deeply saddened to hear that uncle Andy has passed away. We met several times in England and several times in NZ and I´ll always remember him for his fantastic story telling and sense of humour. He and Steve left England when I was 1yo and I remember being told that the last memories they had of me was I was crawling around the back garden without trousers or nappy on. For the main part I´ve given that up now.
