Andrew MITCHELL Obituary

It is with great sorrow that we share the news of the sudden passing of Andrew Murray Mitchell on February 17, 2025, in Darwin, Australia, aged 55 years. Much loved son of Murray and Glenys Mitchell, and brother of Nicholas. Dearly loved and treasured partner of Deidre Keast, and loved and adored father of Finn, Lauren, and Phoebe Mitchell (Australia). Much loved and respected son-in-law of David and Joan Keast, and loved and valued member of the wider Keast family including; Maree, Rodger, and Lyall Johnson, Gillian and Rikki Koster, Nicola Keast, Katrina, Ryan, and Scarlett Wood, and Anna Koster and Steven Hoogeveen (Netherlands). Andrew was a loved friend and colleague of many. He will be sorely missed. With family and friends in Australia, New Zealand, and around the world, there will be no service. Messages may be addressed to the Mitchell family c/- 36A Hackthorne Road, Christchurch 8022; and to the Keast family c/- 323 Island Road, Kaiapoi 7630.

Andrew, knowing you was a great privelege for us. You were a great person who obviously loved your wonderful family and your place of employment.
We were next door neighbours where at times we would solve the world problems!
You are obviously, and understandingly, very much loved by your friends and your work colleagues.
We miss you, and hope you are at eternal peace!
