Andrew FINDLAY Obituary

On November 28, 2024, suddenly yet peacefully, at Christchurch Hospital, aged 82 years. Dearly loved and treasured husband of Diane, much loved father and father-in-law of Peter and Colleen, Elisabeth and Darryl, and Tanya. Proud Granddad Andrew of Jean Luc and Kim, Natasha, Josh, Aidan, Jack, and Luke, and favourite lap of his fur-baby, AB1. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Andrew Findlay, c/- PO Box 39001 Christchurch, 8545. In lieu of flowers, donations to St John would be appreciated and may be made online at stjohn.org.nz. To celebrate Andrew's life, a memorial service will be held at our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on December 11, at 2.00pm.

Dear Diane and family.George and I are saddened to learn of Andrews death.Andrew was an amazing boss,although Diane you may,in some circumstances,have felt he was too much of a softie.Andrew was an absolute gentleman who always lived by the saying"treat all in the manner you wish to be treated".It was this that earned Andrew so much respect from people of all walks of life.
RIP Andrew .It was such a pleasure knowing you.

Please accept my sincere condolences. The loss of a long time partner is heartbreaking. He will really be missed by all who knew him and I will miss his quick wit and sense of humour. He was a real gentleman.
