Our condolences to the Pye Family.

Allan achieved amazing things in his life with his business interests and always spoke highly of his family and what they had also been able to achieve in their business and family lives.

Whilst I only new Allan in his later years his zest and passion for life as an 80 year old was more like a young person continuing to strive and achieve to the very end.

I am very sad to hear of my dear Cousin, Allans' , passing. He was a true inspiration to many folks, being so 'down to earth' , a humble farmer with a great sense of humorhe loved his work with a passion rarely known by others. I. was bornand raised in the USA but we did keep in touch throughout the years. His father and my Mum were siblings. Prayers and Condolences being sent ' over the water' to my family there, may they be comforted knowing he is in Heaven and at Peace. Amen. He was a wonderful man, for sure. Love from Lynda McNeur McCarthy

What a shock hearing of Allan's passing. I guess we all think this will never happen. I have known Allan for well over 60 years, as a friend and when I managed Brown Wood Motors Timaru. He was a loyal MF. owner and we completed many deals together over the years. His life ambition was to be successful and without doubt he achieved this many times over. He started off with a MF35 and a Newholland Baler and a few acres of land on Rise Road. Plus he grew a few acres of potatoes on leased land. The Rise Road property later became his head office of operations. Although I haven't spoken with Allan for a number of years our association was always very special. RIP Allan My kind regards and love to all the family during this difficult time. Ray & Margaret Woolley Kerikeri, BOI.

Janine & l had great pleasure meeting Allan some 3 or so years ago.
He called into our place one Sunday to ask about the old Mack truck on our lawn. He told me he once owned one inSt Andrews Tpt.
I asked him are you Allan Pye ? He replied yes. He came in & had a cup of tea with us & we had a great yarn. He called in about every 3 month or so for a cup of tea & a yarn.
He was sure a great man & left us both with a great impression.
To the Pye Family, please except our deepest sympathy with the loss of Allan, he will be sadly missed by all who new him.
Rest in Peace.
It won,t be long & Allan will be growing spuds in heaven.
With greatest respect
Janine Houmard & Richard Lloyd Christchurch.
