On Friday, February 13, 2026, passed away at Christchurch Hospital: aged 81 years. Treasured husband of Christine and dearly loved by her family. Loved father of Kate, and Jen, and father-in-law of Stephen, and Andrew, and grandad of Jack, and Sam. Loved step-father of Vincie, Antoni, Sean, Justine and Nicole Billante. Beloved father figure to Sandy and a treasured dad of his fur babies Toby and Lizzie. A great friend, work colleague and citizen of kindness and love. The family extend their gratitude to Dr Colin Ding and team, and the amazing staff at Christchurch Hospital. Thank you all for your kindness and care.
