Alexander (Alex):
On January 28, 2016, peacefully at Park Lane Retirement Village, aged 80 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Alvine, loved father and father-in-law of Christine and Andrew Law, Kathryn and Nevil Fifield, Donalda Robertson and Craig McKinnon, Fiona Haines, and Susan and Tony van Gelder. A much loved Grandad of his 9 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Messages to the Robertson family, C/- 19 London Street, Christchurch, 8013. Special thanks to all the staff of Park Lane Retirement Village and Bishopspark Retirement Village, and everyone who has contributed to Alex's care. A celebration of Alex's life will be held at the John Rhind Chapel, entry from London and Whitmore Streets, on Tuesday, February 2, at 10.00am, followed by private cremation.

So sad to hear of the passing of Alex. I first meet Alex and Alvine while working for Nurse Maude. When Alvine passed away I continued to help Alex and enjoyed many shopping trips to Bishopdale New World and a lovely trip to the berry farm in Sawyers Arms Road where we enjoyed a very large ice cream and berries each. I have fond memories of them both. It lightens my heart to know that Alex is now with his beloved Alvine.
