On December 3, 2025, peacefully at Lady Wigram Village, aged 88 years. Dearly loved husband of Janet. Loved father and father-in-law of Mark (USA), David and Lottie (Melbourne), and Jonathan (Palmerston North). Loved granddad of Katrina, and Ben; George, Oscar and Grace. Messages may be sent to the Fox family, c/- Hope Funerals, 27 Amyes Road, Hornby, Christchurch 8042. At Alex's request, a private farewell has been held.

Earlier today

Janet I'm sorry to hear of Alex's passing. You will have a lot of time to say goodbye and to thank him for the lives you had together. I'm sure having the boys here will have been a tremendous comfort. Psalm 116 verse 15 is a wonderful verse as to how the Lord views death and is a great comfort too. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints."
