Alexander FAMILTON Obituary

My condolences on the passing of Alex. First met him when I was a young vet graduate and over the years on various occasions. Memorable man and always a friendly greeting. JJ Kelly BVSc

Dear Julie, Mark, Viv, Helen and families,

Uncle Alex will be greatly missed so many happy memories of holidays and special family get togethers, not to mention the always slightly nerve racking visits to his vet surgery (you never knew what might happen).

We are thinking of you all.

Deepest sympathy in your loss Julie Alex used to work for our father at Tokanui when my sister Helen and I were teenagers. He was working in the holidays to make money to go to Australia to study vet science. We missed him even then We were so proud of his achievements Marie and Helen (nee Morton) Tokanui

I was very shocked and saddened to hear about Alec's death. I admired Alec greatly, and he and Lesley spent many, many happy times with Dot and Al. I was slow to learn to read and learned words picked from Alec's pipe tobacco tins. I will remember the smell of those tins until the end of my days. Very much thinking of you all. Keith

Alex was a much loved Brother in law and uncle of Peter, Jane , Brad and Tarsh. We will miss him dearly.

Lyndsay and I are very sad to hear of Alex's sudden death, Julie. It's been lovely to be back working on 'the Santorini project' again with Alex. Our love and prayers.
