Albert George (George):
Of Alexandra, formerly of Purakaunui, Paretai and Balclutha. Passed away suddenly but peacefully at Dunedin Hospital on Thursday, August 5, 2021, in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Muireen and Mary. Cherished father of Rosalie (Alexandra); Esmae and Steve Hills (Alexandra); and Lynda and Alan Harris; (Cambridge). Special Grandad of Anthony and Sophie (Perth), Lyndon (Alexandra), and Charlotte and William (Cambridge). Dearly loved stepfather of David and Sadie; Philip and Sharon; Elisabeth and John; and Colin and Carmen, and their families. A service for George will be held at Affinity Funeral Home, 143 Centennial Avenue, Alexandra, on Friday, August 13 at 1.00pm, followed by interment in the Alexandra Cemetery. George's service will be livestreamed to live.affinityfunerals.nz Special thanks to the medical team and nursing staff at Dunedin Hospital who cared for George. George was a well respected and thought of man by many, with his passing a light has gone out, he has now gone onto his eternal reward and he is now at rest in our loving Heavenly Father's kingdom. His forbears and mine originated from Purakanui. His passing will leave a huge gap in many lives. Sending deepest sympathy and love from across the sea... Bob and Merlene Harris, Brisbane, Australia.
