Alastair McDOWALL Obituary

So sorry to read of Alastair's sudden passing, he often passed funny comments on my facebook, will miss them.

Hello, I am Nelson Thompsons daughter and I remember meeting Alastair. My Grand mother was a McDowall in Queenstown. Thinking of his family.

Wonderful memories of "Swede" at First Direct Taxis Chch. Always a joker and then there was the one liners, broadcast over the radio telephone for everybody to hear. Lovely genuine man.

Alister was a good bugger. Memories of we young blokes knocking around in North Gore and getting up to mischief with his brothers. Apologies for not being able to be at the service on Friday. No more buildings to paint the job is done.
