Alastair MALCOLM Obituary

MALCOLM, Alastair Henry:
Passed away peacefully at home, on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, aged 75 years. Loved son of Lionel and Cora Malcolm. Brother to Don, Jean, Margaret and Greg. Remembered with love by his nieces and nephews and their extended families, and by his friends. Alastair wanted to thank all his family and friends and especially the Motor Neurone Palliative Care team for all their excellent care over the past year. A special thank you to Heather and to Pam who were outstanding and made Alastair's last year of life a bearable challenge that he undertook remarkably well. Messages to the Malcolm family, c/- 19 London Street, Christchurch 8013. In accordance with Alastair's wishes his body has been bequeathed to the Otago Medical School.

Sorry to hear you've gone Alistair you were a great neighbour a caring and kind gentleman.You will always have a special place in my heart and some special memories that even now at this sad time make me smile. You were a good friend in our younger years.
I will always remember you as the proud young man standing beside your beloved 1934 Ford V8 in which you brought my bride to our wedding.

Alistair, you were a very special dear, faithful friend to our family, one who was very prompt every saturday, our weekends will be a little empty from now on. Thankyou for being so good with our kids, the extra grandad they needed in their life , one that told them right from wrong when necessary. Thoughts to the family. We will miss you deeply Alistair.
