Alan(boof) was a beautiful man, his smile lit up the room whenever you walked in. Our kids will miss him greeting them at the airport when they come home.We have so many great memories that we will treasure, like your first Dane with Karen to "it's so easy to fall in love" and fall in love you did.RIP mates

Kind thoughts go to Karen and family.
I had the honour of having Al as my shift partner at Christchurch Airport for the past 5 years prior to my departure in 2011. A true gentle man, who made going to work a pleasure.

Having worked with, and known Al for years, I can say he will be missed. His character and attitude is one I still speak of, even after many years have passed. Rest in peace mate.

You have walked the last beat of the night. Everyone is safe because of the years of your faithful service. You lead from the front both in health and sickness. My respect is with you. For Karen and family my thoughts and prayers.

To Karen, Lisa, Kelly and Families, I offer you my Heartfelt Condolences. I am so sorry I can't be there with you all at this Very Sad time. Alan was such a quiet, unassuming Gentleman! ( Gawd knows he had to deal a few times with my mother lol ) There's going to be some hard times ahead Chickee. Just one day at a time My Friend. Love and Blessings, Jan Hobbs.
