McFARLANE, Alan George:
Unexpectedly at Timaru Public Hospital, on July 25, 2016, surrounded constantly by his loving family. Dearly loved husband of the late Margaret and special friend of Anita. Very much loved father and father-in-law of Alison and Paul Dickson, Duncan and Eluned, and Grant and Vicki. Loved Grandad of Andrew and Katie, Anna and Hamish, Hamish and Amanda; Catrin, and Charlotte; Sarah, Ashleigh and James, and Great-Grandad to his 6 great-grandchildren. A celebration of Alan's life will be held at Aoraki Funeral Services Chapel, 160 Mountain View Road, Timaru, on Friday, July 29, at 1.00pm, followed by interment at Pleasant Point Cemetery. Very special thanks to the staff in Ward 5 at Timaru Public Hospital and Dr Fanning for their outstanding compassion and care of Alan. Messages to 120 Mountain View Road, Timaru 7910.

We will miss Alan coming in to see us at Westpac Northtown. He was one of our favourites and a real gentleman. The girls enjoyed a joke with him .
