Such a lovely gentleman. I kw him when he volunteered for Alzheimer's Canterbury and we also had family connections. I valued any time spent with him.
Condolences to the family

Grant, Paul, Susann, Andrew and Geoffrey -Greetings to each of you as you face the loss of your Dad. I´m pretty sure that you will all have had some days of sharing great memories of Alan, and of Beryl, and of family times. For us Moirs, the Finch family had a special place. I know my parents spoke of the `privilege´ of having Beryl and Alan as close friends. And I remember wonderful days at Bryndwr, with all the activities involved. Brian and I hadn´t seen Alan since about 2021 or 22. He was in high spirits then, and we enjoyed a morning with him. It must have been hard spending those years on his own after your Mum died. But right now, enjoy the time of rich memories, and I trust a lot of laughter, to buffer your sadness. How lucky you have been to have such parents, and such a family. My love to you all, Merilyn.
