Aileen SPENCER Obituary

On November 1st, 2025 peacefully at Chatswood, aged 81 years. Dearly loved wife of the late David Buchanan and previously Robert (Bob) Hayes. Much loved sister and sister-in-law of Margaret Peers (and the late Warwick Peers), David and Sue Spencer, Linda and Allister Reid and the late Neil and Margorie Spencer, Jim and Mollie Spencer and Ross and Rita Spencer. Loved by all her nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dr Sarah Howard and the Chatswood staff who cared for Aileen over the past weeks. Your support has been greatly appreciated. A private cremation will take place and a family memorial will be held. Messages may be addressed to the family of the late Aileen Spencer, c/- Hope Funerals Christchurch, 27 Aymes Road, Hornby, Christchurch 8042.

I first met Aileen when I started District Nursing in the late nineties Aileen and quickly became good friends. She took an interest in my children and what I was doing and always enjoyed talking about our gardens, I was saddened to see her death notice after trying to catch up with her for visit just before Christmas. RIP Aileen
