Agnes Merle (Merle):
Passed away suddenly at her home on Saturday, July 29, 2017, in her 97th year. Loved daughter of the late Alan and Janet, loved sister of Lindsay, Cyril, Edna, and Ian (all deceased). Loved and respected aunty of all her nieces and nephews. Messages may be sent to 10A Gaylee Place, Blenheim 7201. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Nativity Mission work would be appreciated and may be made at the service, or sent c/- 76 Alfred Street, Blenheim 7201. A funeral service for Merle will be held at the Church of the Nativity, Alfred Street, Blenheim, at 1.00pm Friday, August 4, followed by interment at Fairhall Cemetery.

I delivered Meals on Wheels to Merle for quite a few years, as recently as two days before her death. She was always cheerful and friendly and I had no idea she was 96 years old! A lovely lady.
