Aarnoud CALJÉ Obituary

In loving memory of Aarnoud, born August 14, 1935, in the Netherlands, died peacefully on May 12, 2024, at Christchurch Hospital. Dearly loved husband of Geertje (deceased), brother of Cees (deceased), Corrie, and Nellie, much loved father of Adam, and Esther, and loved Opa of Trudy and Eva, father-in-law to David, and loving uncle and family member to his whānau in the Netherlands. A very special and heartfelt thank you to the incredibly kind, caring and professional staff at Arvida Park Lane, Christchurch Hospital ED, Medical Assessment and Ward 16 who helped us all. Messages to the Caljé family, C/- PO Box 111-01, Christchurch 8443. We will celebrate his life and honour his passing in the Academy Funeral Services Chapel, 65 Main South Road, Upper Riccarton, on Wednesday, May 15, at 1.00pm, thereafter interment at Yaldhurst Cemetery.

We enjoyed having Aarnoud join us to watch a couple of Dutch movies and taking him once to the Dutch toneel at Everglades. A lovely, kind gentleman. Christine and Vincent, Mounfort Street.
