William BONHAM Obituary

BONHAM, William (Bill) - On April 23, 2014, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family; in his 90th year. Dearly loved husband of Maureen for 60 years, loved father and father-in-law of John and Margaret, Mary and Rod and the late Artie, Pat and Carol, Peter and Dianne, Clare and Peter, and Eileen and Gerry. Really cool grandad of Mariah, Sam; Allanah, Patrick; Ryan, Kelsie, Sophie; Daniel, Felicity; Joseph (deceased), Michael, Tim; Lulu, and Katie. Terrible tease to his great-grandchildren Lily, Florence, Valentine; Niamh, Xander; Joe, Lilly, Aaron, Liam, and Danny. Special thanks to Dr James Shanks, and Deanne from the Palliative Care Team. Messages to the Bonham family, c/- PO Box 111-01, Christchurch 8443. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Bowel Cancer Awareness would be appreciated and may be made at the service or on line to fundraiseonline.co.nz – Mary O'Beirne. A Requiem Mass for Bill will be celebrated at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church, 106 Main South Road, Sockburn, on Monday, April 28, at 1.00pm, followed by the interment at Shands Road Cemetery. Recitation of Rosary to be held at the church (Tomorrow), Sunday, at 7.00pm. A good old Irish Wake will be held at the Irish Society Hall, 29 Domain Terrace, Spreydon, for family and those who knew Bill, This Day (Saturday), at 7.30pm. As is Irish tradition please bring a plate and your sense of humour.
