Dear Val - you will be sorely missed for your fun and love of the ridiculous as well as your compassionate nature, listening ear and deep wisdom.
Our sons will always treasure their memories of your friendship and fun over the years, particularly when we lived in Blenheim.
Well done good and faithful servant - enter into the joy of your Lord.
We are the richer for knowing you.

Beautiful lady rest well in the loving arms of your Jesus. There's an African saying 'you continue to live on the earth until the last person you touched in love passes away' So many you have touched in your time here amongst us all, your memory and all that you carried will leave a fragrance here on earth that will never be able to be removed...greatly blessed by knowing you Xx

Val and I met in Nelson in 1975 and, both being Londoners, enjoyed each other's company. Full of fun and enthusiasm she was a wonderful hostess and kind thoughtful friend to me and my young daughters.
She visited us in England several times and was torn between her love of both countries. I visited her in January and have such happy memories of our last meal together gazing at the sun setting over Haulashore Island. Rest in peace old friend.
